Why this page exists

We sell an electrical device that emits light onto your skin. You deserve to know exactly what it does, what it's been tested against, and when you shouldn't use it. Everything on this page is also in the manual that ships with the device — this version is here so you can read it before you buy.

1. What this device is — and isn't

The SULSAL LED Neck & Dec Perfecter is a cosmetic beauty appliance for use at home. It is designed to improve the appearance of skin.

It is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. We make no medical claims for it, and you should not use it as a substitute for medical or dermatological advice.

Results vary from person to person. Nothing we publish is a promise of a particular outcome.

3. Certification and compliance

This device carries the following marks and assessments:

UKCA — Conformity assessed for the Great Britain market.

CE — Conformity assessed for the European market.

RoHS — Compliant with restrictions on hazardous substances in electrical equipment.

IEC 62471 — Assessed for photobiological safety of lamps and lamp systems. This device is classified as Risk Group [FILL FROM CERTIFICATE].

We hold the Declaration of Conformity and supporting test reports for this device. If you are a retailer, distributor, or regulator and need to see this documentation, email support@sulsal.store.

Note on FDA clearance: any FDA classification held by the manufacturer applies to the United States market and has no legal standing in the United Kingdom. UK conformity is evidenced by the UKCA marking above.

4. Who should not use this device

Do not use this device, or speak to your doctor or pharmacist first, if any of the following apply to you.

Medication and light sensitivity

Do not use if you are taking any medication or supplement that increases sensitivity to light, without medical advice. This includes but is not limited to:

  • oral or topical retinoids (isotretinoin, tretinoin, adapalene)
  • certain antibiotics, including tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones
  • St John's Wort
  • some diuretics, antidepressants, and antihistamines
  • photodynamic therapy agents

If you are unsure whether your medication is photosensitising, ask your pharmacist. They can check this in seconds and it is free.

Medical conditions

Do not use if you have:

  • epilepsy, or any history of seizures triggered by light
  • lupus, porphyria, or any condition causing photosensitivity
  • a history of skin cancer or precancerous lesions, without dermatological advice
  • an active skin infection, open wound, or severe sunburn in the treatment area
  • a thyroid condition affecting the neck area, without medical advice

Eyes

Do not use if you have an eye condition, or are recovering from eye surgery, without ophthalmological advice.

Recent treatments

Do not use over areas that have recently had:

  • laser treatment, IPL, or chemical peels
  • injectables, fillers, or surgical procedures
  • microneedling or dermabrasion

Wait for the period your practitioner advises before resuming use.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There is limited research on LED light therapy during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Speak to your midwife or doctor before use.

Age

This device is not for use by anyone under 18.

5. How to use it safely

Read the full manual before first use. In summary:

Before you start

  • Clean and dry your skin. Remove makeup and any product not intended for use with the device.
  • Do not apply photosensitising products beforehand, including retinol or high-strength acids.

Eye protection

  • Follow the eye protection guidance in the manual and use any shield or goggles supplied.
  • Do not stare directly into the LEDs, even briefly.
  • Keep your eyes closed throughout the session unless the manual says otherwise.

Session limits

  • Do not exceed the recommended session length or frequency. Longer sessions do not produce better results.
  • Leave at least [FILL FROM MANUAL] hours between sessions.

During use

  • Stop immediately if you feel burning, stinging, unusual heat, dizziness, or eye discomfort.
  • Do not use while the device is charging unless the manual permits it.
  • Do not use in the bath, shower, or near water.

Do a patch test

Before your first full session, run a short session on a small area and wait 24 hours. If you see redness, irritation, or swelling that doesn't settle, stop using the device and contact us.

6. Possible side effects

Most people experience nothing beyond mild, temporary warmth or redness that fades within an hour.

Stop use and seek medical advice if you experience:

  • persistent redness, swelling, or blistering
  • a rash or hives
  • headache, dizziness, or nausea during or after use
  • any change in vision
  • darkening or lightening of skin in the treated area

7. Electrical safety

  • Use only the power supply or cable provided.
  • Do not use the device if the cable, casing, or any component is damaged.
  • Do not attempt to open, repair, or modify the device. Doing so voids your warranty and may be dangerous.
  • Do not immerse the device or its power supply in water.
  • Do not leave the device charging unattended overnight.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Store in a dry place at room temperature.

Cleaning: follow the manual. Never use solvents, abrasives, or alcohol wipes unless the manual specifically permits them.

8. Our cosmetic products

Our sheet masks and topical skincare are cosmetic products. They are not medicines and are not intended to treat any condition.

  • Full ingredient lists are printed on every pack. Read them if you have known sensitivities.
  • Patch test before first use, particularly if your skin is reactive.
  • Do not use on broken, damaged, or sunburnt skin.
  • Avoid contact with eyes. If product enters the eye, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Discontinue use if irritation develops.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Observe the period-after-opening symbol and expiry date on the pack.

These products are supplied in compliance with the UK Cosmetics Regulation. Product Information Files are held by the Responsible Person for each product.

9. Reporting a safety concern

If you experience an adverse reaction, or believe a product is unsafe, we want to know immediately.

Email support@sulsal.store with:

  • your order number
  • what happened and when
  • photographs, if relevant
  • the batch code from the packaging

We take every report seriously, investigate it, and where required report to the relevant UK authority. We will always tell you what we find.

You can also report a product safety concern to the Office for Product Safety and Standards, or to your local Trading Standards service via Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133.

10. Recalls

If we ever need to recall a product, we will contact affected customers directly by email and publish a notice on this page. This is one reason we keep order records — please make sure your email address is up to date.

11. Disposal

This device contains electronics and must not go in household waste. Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations, dispose of it at a local recycling centre or return it to us and we will arrange disposal.

Batteries, where fitted, must be recycled separately.
